Three Lamar CISD Campuses Named to the College Board's 2025 AP School Honor Roll

Congratulations to the 2025 AP School Honor Roll, featuring Fulshear High School, George Ranch High School, and Foster High School.
Three Lamar CISD high schools have earned national recognition from the College Board for their commitment to expanding access to Advanced Placement (AP) coursework while supporting strong academic outcomes for students.

In the College Board’s 2025 AP School Honor Roll, Fulshear High School and George Ranch High School each received Silver recognition, while Foster High School earned Bronze recognition—a distinction highlighting schools that deliver measurable results in college readiness, student participation, and academic performance.

“Our campuses continue to raise the bar for academic excellence, and this recognition reflects the dedication of our educators, campus leaders, and families who support our students every day,” Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens said.

The recognition is designed to reflect not only AP participation but also increased opportunities and tangible academic outcomes for students.

Launched in 2023, the AP School Honor Roll program offers recognitions to campuses at four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. To earn the Silver distinction, both George Ranch High School and Fulshear High School achieved the following criteria in 2024-2025:

  • More than 50% of graduates took at least 1 AP Exam during high school.
  • More than 30% of graduates scored a 3 or higher on at least 1 AP Exam.
  • More than 5% of graduates took five or more AP Exams during high school, with at least one of those exams taken in 9th or 10th grade.

Meanwhile, Foster High School met the following criteria in 2024-2025 to receive Bronze recognition:

  • More than 40% of graduates took at least 1 AP Exam during high school.
  • More than 25% of graduates scored a 3 or higher on at least 1 AP Exam.
  • More than 2% of graduates took five or more AP Exams during high school, with at least one of those exams taken in 9th or 10th grade.

Districtwide, Lamar CISD continues to prioritize access to advanced academics as part of its broader strategy to enhance student learning experiences and prepare graduates for success beyond high school. Through intentional instructional planning, teacher support, and student-focused initiatives, the district remains committed to expanding opportunities that empower students to reach their full potential.
