Lamar CISD Welcomes New Principals for the 2025-2026 School Year

Ms. Sherryl Anthony
Sherryl Anthony 
Principal 
Randle High School 
Sherryl Anthony has been named principal at Randle High School. She brings 13 years of experience in education, including roles as a teacher, academic facilitator, and assistant principal. Most recently, she served as principal at Wright Junior High School. Ms. Anthony earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in administration and supervision from the University of Houston–Victoria. She looks forward to continuing to provide steady, compassionate, and strong leadership for her school community.

Aerika Dial 
Acting Principal 
Carter Elementary School 
Aerika Dial has been named the acting principal of Carter Elementary School. Ms. Dial brings 23 years of experience in education, including roles as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Houston. After serving as an assistant principal at Carter Elementary last year, Ms. Dial is honored to return to a community she cares deeply about and continue supporting students, staff, and families.

Julie Jackson
Acting Principal
Haygood Elementary School
Julie Jackson has been named acting principal at Haygood Elementary. Ms. Jackson is an experienced educator and a proud Lamar CISD graduate. Her background includes experience as a first- and third-grade teacher as well as service as an assistant principal at Adolphus Elementary. She looks forward to working alongside dedicated staff members and families to ensure Haygood is a safe and welcoming place where students can grow, learn, and thrive.

Trameasha Strickland  
Acting Principal 
Wright Junior High School 
Trameasha Strickland has been named the acting principal of Wright Junior High School. Ms. Strickland brings years of experience in education across elementary and secondary settings, including associate principal at Terry High School. A proud Lamar CISD graduate, Ms. Strickland has dedicated her career to serving the Rosenberg and Richmond communities. Ms. Strickland holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston–Victoria and a master’s degree in educational administration. She is excited to join the Wright Junior High School community and continue upholding the strong tradition of excellence within the Pride of the Den.
